You can’t. But you can stop new posts from showing up by logging into the backend and go to Settings -> Privacy and choose either “I would like to block search engines, but allow normal visitors” or “I would like my blog to be visible only to registered users from blog community”.
How do I make my Miniblog private?
If you want your Miniblog to be private from the start, make sure you set “I would like my blog to appear in search engines like Google and Technorati, and in public listings around this site” to “No” when creating the blog.

How to I upload images?
Log into the backend of your Miniblog and go to Write Page and click on the “sun” besides Add Media. There you’ll get the option to upload images and other files. You’ll will later find the images under “Media Library”.

Open the backend of your blog in a new window, go to Write Page and click on the “sun” besides Add Media and go to “Media Library” and click “Show” on the image you want to use.
Copy the url found in “Link url”, and go to the frontend of your blog and press the “Img” button, and add the url. Press “OK” and fill out a short description and press “OK” again.

This is the same as how to adding uploaded images, with the exception that you use the “Link” button to add the file.
